Super Tuesday

Get out and vote!

Tali's assignment tonight was to write about whom she thought should be president. Her short essay is over at Muffinland.

Yes we can!

You have a very smart Daughter :)
I am going out later this morning to cast my vote.
Are you feeling better now? I have been thinking about you xoxox

NOTE TO ALL: WHEN I LEFT THIS AM FOR WORK, THERE WAS A VIDEO IN THIS POST. UPON ARRIVAL AT MY OFFICE, IT IS NOT SHOWING UP. HOPEFULLY THAT WILL FIX ITSELF DURING THE DAY, BUT IF NOT - IT IS THE "YES WE CAN" VIDEO IN SUPPORT OF BARACK OBAMA AND UNITY FOR OUR COUNTRY. I CAN'T EDIT OR POST IN BLOGGER FROM MY OFFICE PC. I GUESS THEY'D PREFER IF I HAD A WORDPRESS BLOG.

mo'a, thank you so much - I am extremely proud of her on any given day, but her essay just made me "kvell" (gush) even more so. I voted on my way to work. Thank you, I am feeling much better. I think of you every day when I see my paperwhites blooming :) xoxox

Wow, that video is an excellent work! Where is Chuck Norris, though?

Love it! Both the video and your daughter's endorsement. She's a very mature writer for her age.

Ariel, it is amazing, isn't it? Chuck Norris? That went right over my lampshade.

Jeff, she's a little old lady in kid's clothing or as blogger buddy, Doug has called her "an upwardly mobile munchkin" which seems to fit her quite right.

Seriously, it's a great empowering message no matter where you sit today. And we could use a little of that.

You should be kvelling. Tali's amazing

Sometimes videos don't show up but when you put your cursor over it, they're there--I have been wondering about this for years

G, Chuck Norris is a living legend! It happened only once that he missed his target, the sky is blue ever since. Everybody sleeps in Superman pyjamas, Superman sleeps in Chuck Norris pyjamas. The disabled sign at parking lots doesn't mean only disabled can park there but it means it's a parking lot of Chuck Norris and you are going to be disabled if you park there.

We have tried to have a bridge of Budapest named after him but stupid bureaucracy did not let us.

Pia, aw thanks. That part I knew, but it just wouldn't show up no matter what on my office PC. Well, it's here and for that, I'm happy.

Ariel, simmer down now. I certainly know who Chuck Norris is, but didn't realize the tie-in. Of course after reading your comment, I understand completely. I just didn't realize the high place of esteem Chuck had in your heart! I am so cracking up (not at Chuck certainly) but at your comment. Maybe we should vote for Chuck for president! You're right! Hell with the Empire State Building - it should be the Empire Chuck Building!!! I'm just warming up. Look out.

Minka, I agree completely! Glad you enjoyed. Only problem - it's missing Chuck Norris :)

Although I enjoyed Tali's essay, I'm a Clinton supporter. She has more specifics in her speeches (on healthcare, e. g.), and having lived through the post-Watergate 70s, I'm leary of vague, superoptimistic promises.
That said, should Obama be the nominee I will support him 100%.

I think both Clinton and Obama's goals for this country are actually not markedly different - even healthcare. But more importanly, I feel, is this country's desperate need for healing and unity right now. I don't think the candidate to bring this about is Clinton. That's why Senator Obama got my vote.

I truly can't say if I can bring myself to vote for Clinton, particularly if it's decided in a "smoke filled back room."
