I always figured...

why post when you have nothing to say? Although, some of my best posts have started off that way; this won't be one of them.

I'm working back in the city which is not all glamorous as witnessed by my daily rides on the F Train (f in more ways than one). Oh how I miss the solitude of my own car. I think I've grown a bit anti-social during my hiatus. Nothing too terrible to report on this front other than sharing a morning ride with hundreds of other people. Shutter.

The sad news is that 3 1/2 years gone from the neighborhood and nothing has changed! Well, save for a few store changes. The fruit man - same. The African guys selling pocketbooks - same. The crazy bleached blonde lady handing out the circulars to a nail salon - same. Me walking up the block from the subway - same. I don't want to belittle these people's livelihoods and I'm not, but looking inward is a bit difficult when lumped in to this company.

Oh, Management's treatment of the proletariat? Worse.

So you see? Not feeling terribly compelled to blog. Not that I have the ability to really blog from work as I no longer have my own office. Sure, I can steal a moment or two, but it's sort of tough to get into it when you feel you're about to get busted looking at stuffed animals. Some people just don't understand art. I have to say that I don't think of it at work as I'm pretty busy anyway, but I can't help but feel a bit wistful for the days of yore and blogging freedom.

That's where my head is at in a nutshell. Yes my head is in a nutshell. That's what neglect of commas will get you - misunderstood. By the way, this blog is being sponsored by the punctuation mark, the comma.

I felt compelled to post as I don't want my few friends to forget me. I haven't forgotten you even if I haven't been by for a visit, I will. But now sleep calls as I have to be up early for that F'n train.

Love ya, miss ya, mean it!

You are never forgotten, by me or my RSS reader.

Yes, like what Doug said. This sounds like a really bad dream I sometimes have.

I can totally relate, I am sorry to say.

I'm having a harder time every month keeping up with blog visits and comments. My work is getting busier and summer is keeping me busier as well so between those things I've had to scale back. Sometimes I just look at my feeder and sigh.

Oh, and the comma is a good thing. It represents pause - which is what I need.

The comma is a good sponsor. The F train not so much

I can't believe how F'nn expensive this city has become in the past eight weeks

you do work near one of the new old marvels of NY Byrant Park. I remember when it was drug dealer central. Forgot about it earlier

I kind of yearn for those days--not the drug dealers but because I could afford to walk past the park It has cafe's that look so nice but cost so much in money and calories

Blogging is something else that costs too much in time often

I can empathize. I've had to simplify my own life and cut down to one blog. It's a bit better. Sometimes, like you, I don't have much to blog about except complaints. But even Seinfeld was a comedy show about nothing.

I haven't forgotten you. You have a life. I still check in. :)

No worries - just another day in paradise. I think of you, riding a train and actually living in NY - in the CITY even. That in and of itself boggles my birdbrain. The methods of transportation we all have to and from the salt mines is as varied as a patchwork quilt. Am I a little non-sequitor today? I think so.

People don't get mad when others don't post for a while - we all do it (or don't do it) except for that perfect who never errs from his steady routine. We certainly can't ALL be like that ;)

BEAGLE - it's supposed to say BEAGLE! A pox upon blogger when it eats my links. GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Doug, bless you and your RSS' hearts.

T&I, as I reread it, I'm sure it's a bad dream that I've had with all of these people coming at me.

Nessa, I'm sorry too. But hey, look at the bright side, at least we let our creativity wander outside of work, so there's that...

Jeff, at least you have a feeder going. I don't know which way to turn when I finally get a little blogging time. Summer is tough - we're definitely drawn outside more.

Oh, and yes - a pause is good. Take a deep breath while you're at it.

Pia, I too recall when walking by Bryant Park was scary - never mind through it! It's come a loooong way from those days.

Blogging is a love/hate thing. I love to blog but hate that I can't make the rounds. I really need to look into this reader thing. Always the last to adapt - that's me.

Shari, that's what I'm saying! A little bit of nothing goes a long way :)

It's tough keeping up with one blog! I'm glad that you do check in. I love seeing your avatar!

Terry, I don't know - I think your salt mine/patchwork quilt analogies follow quite logically. Just a couple of weeks ago - riding the train would have blew my lightbulb, but now I'm settling into the rhythm. Finding the best trains to take for a seat home and so forth.

Yeah, that beagle! So wordy :)

Claire, I know that you do!
