TRIPPING THE LIGHT FANTASTIC
I hopped on the subway with the kids and landed in Grand Central Terminal where we enjoyed their laser light show that is on around the Holidays through December 31st. They're an easy crowd - Julian just was happy to ride the trains and Tali wanted a hot chocolate from Starbucks. I wanted to buy a few gift items from an African craft booth in Grand Central's Holiday Fair. With only that, we killed four hours this afternoon.
Scissors stayed home with Louie who is recuperating from a delicate surgery. He was neutered. No more making time with the cute beagle or the cocker spaniel with the pink bows in her hair for him. He's recuperating quite nicely though.
Just a quick note to say hello, not much else. Just want to get my little blog here up and running for the last week of 2007.
Some items from the craft fair:

Hello to you as well! Nice find.
I'm sure Louie will be ok; it is in everyone's best interest that he was relieved of his manly equipment.
Hi and Merry Christmas to you and yours, Lady! Riding the trains is one of my fave times, too.
csqubkz: chewbacca's back on the buzz
Yes I know. But still!
Poor Louie. Nice to see you all are enjoying the holidays together.
Louie, Willie and Lela both had alterations but not Christmas week!
What kind of monsters do you live with?
aw -- i know how hard it was for you to subject Louie to that "surgery", but it truly is for the best. that said, we sometimes think we've done the World a disservice because no one will have a shot at having a puppy as wonderful as our little BoBo! but in the end, it was (and is) the right thing to do. hopefully Louie's love interests will still find him good company, and appreciate the fact he won't be humping 'em at the drop of a cat. ; )
LOVELOVELOVE those items you picked up! and how did i miss that Holiday Crafts Fair last week? oh, i know -- we made a Very Hasty trip into the city on Thursday (and a last minute on, at that) -- not much time to do anything more that glimpse the Gigantic Tree in Rockefeller Center. d'oh!
here's hoping your holidays are filled with peace, dearest NBFF -- thinking a new year is just what we both need to get our lives back on track! xoxo
Claire, hi! I agree - just wished there was a non-surgical procedure to do it. He's really doing nicely though - following Scissors around upstairs and down.
Ariel, I realized that we don't do it enough and there are so many little journeys that we could take just coming into Grand Central and boarding a train for somewhere.
That was perfect (Louie does look a bit like Chewbacca you know :()
Tom & Icy, I know - I was quite conflicted with Scissors really not wanting to do it at all. It's for the best in this case. Hope you are all enjoying the holidays too!
Doug, I almost deleted your comment, instead I just won't let Louie read my blog today.
There's a reason we did it this week which is all seeming rather lame right now so I won't even explain.
Signed,
Mom Monster
Neva, I know - there's that. Wouldn't Bobo just make beautiful lovely puppies?! hahaha - "at the drop of a cat" indeed.
Yes, it was that blur to your left as you ran through Grand Central. I can just see you pulling the Penguin through town for a taste of Christmas spirit.
Here's to a peaceful and healthful new year for you and your family. Let's hope for the best in 2008 for us both. XOX
Happy Holidays to you and your lovely family, G!
You too Diesel - all things good to you and yours.
Oh NO! Wishing all the best to Louie (he'll never even know what he's missing LOL - besides, Mother knows best, and won't even MENTION that there's not much to mention...)
xo
Terry, that's what I'm saying, I mean they were small Louie. Oh that's terrible, but he's recovering nicely and it is for the best.
