A few of my favorite things

If you don't know Mo'a, it's high time that you meet her. She is an artist/dollmaker who can be found here at LEIKUR OG LIST (which is Icelandic for something and I do hope Mo'a comes by and clears that up - it's something playful) showcasing some of her own lovely work or more recently, that of her fellow artists. She can also be found here at TO LIVE A CREATIVE LIFE.

In this post called White Mosaique, Mo'a talked about being inspired by some French blogs and she posted a collage of white items found in her home. That is what I do love about blogs - many are a source of inspiration in various ways. Mo'a just inspired me to look at things differently and to step back and do my own collage.

I'm not a serious photographer, but last weekend freshly inspired, I picked up the camera and set about shooting my white or light inspired "things".

HERE THEY ARE IN COLOR:

AND IN BLACK AND WHITE.

Thanks Mo'a for the inspiration.

Cool, G. I think I like the color one better. You really create a mood (contemplative?) with these.

I love these, and Weirsdo has it exactly, the mood is stronger to me in the first set but the stark simple lines are quite beautiful in the black and white, gorgeous

I like the grid. I like the stuff in the grid. I've always liked color photos of white things.

okay. now you're just showing off.

you NEVER cease to impress me, NBFF, today is no exception! both compositions are absolutely brilliant. and beautiful. and yes... i believe, very contemplative. whoa. xoxo

Weirsdo: Thanks. I think yes, contemplative but at the same time, serenity and calm.

Logo: Yes indeed, I have to agree with you both. Thanks so much.

Goldennib: Thanks, Mo'a was my inspiration.

Somewhere Joe: Thanks, me too. Although I cheated a little, they're not all "white" white but I stretched to include evocative of light.

Neva: Oh, you know me. Thanks, NBFF. Now we can all sit around and contemplate. Coffee anyone?

"Leikur og List" = Play and Art. We had this out during Mo'a's stint at the Dawg's place, 'cause I was accusing her of partying too hard in Icelandic. With Minka. ;)

Nice photos.

I really like this kind of artwork. Thanks for turning me on to a great site.

Ann: Don't make me blush under this lampshade. Thank you my dear friend.

OC: It's all coming back to me now. I was eager to just post the props to Mo'a that I had no time to research. Thanks so much.

Claire: Thanks but this is really easy to do yourself. That's the beauty of how Mo'a inspired me. You can use Picasa, create a collage and just upload your pics there and voila! Whenever you get a chance, both of Mo'a's sites are beyond charming.

What a nice surprise :) Thank you for your nice and complimentary words. I was wondering why there were so many hits on my sight from yours :)
I have that little Bing and Grondal bird or is it Royal Copenhagen, and my son and I used to love "Where the Sidewalk Ends"
Wow!!! you did a wonderful job both on photographing and the grid.
Thank you, thank you I would call you MNBF but I think Neva might get after me.....I will just steal something else from her xoxoxox

Amoeba, you are right Leikur og List is Play and Art.....where is Minka these days, I never see her on my blogs lately....she is probably playing at WA...I should talk I have been absent a lot lately.

How neat-the idea, and the execution. See, I'd never think of something like that! Wonderful use of inspiration:)

Hey cj! Thanks. Aren't they the best? We can never get enough of Shel.

Brian: Thanks Brian - hope you are staying cool :)

Mo'a! So glad you dropped in. I've been meaning to drop by to you and let you know and well, one things leads to the next. I believe it is Bing and Grondal, that's a coincidence ay? Haha, I am cracking up on stealing from Neva - take one of her dogs, she won't notice. Thanks for your kind words and mostly for the inspiration! You're the best. xoxox

Actonbell: I do love to meander about, but would it have come to any meaningful conclusion? Heads or tails? But thanks. Your new avatar is just cracking me up.

Beautiful collage G! It has a wonderful symmetry. The color one is my favorite.

I loved that when she posted it - you do her an honor to post it here. I love her Shel Silversteen books - and everything white is pure inspiration.

Thanks Dan. The color one seems to be a fave. It was fun to roam around and just look at things in a different way.

Terry - Actually those were pics that I took around the house (including our fave Shel Silverstein books :) - pure inspiration provided by Mo'a though. Thanks for stopping by.

I love your white colour varieties. Those are just around your house? Beautiful!

Ups......that was a hit right over my head with a club:) Móa...I have been absent on almost every blog of late. Life is somewhat difficult at the moment...it is about to get better right?

Minka: Everything looks special when shown in its own proper light. Thank you.

That Mo'a! She's a rascal. I think we're all running between the raindrops lately. But we all know where to find each other - that's the good news.

Have a great weekend friends.
