MEET MY MUSE

Main Entry: 3muse
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French, from Latin Musa, from Greek Mousa
1 capitalized : any of the nine sister goddesses in Greek mythology presiding over song and poetry and the arts and sciences
2 : a source of inspiration; especially : a guiding genius
3 : POET

My muse is part of my recent acquisition of little art pieces and I found her on eBay. She is a collage made by a woman named Raquel in France.

I think her arrival is rather timely.

Good night.

PS: If you feel inspired, ala Waking Ambrose, please feel free to leave your own definition of muse. As you can see, I'm not very inspired right now so I let Merriam Webster do the talking for me.

Love the collage! Wish I had a muse, all I seem to have are the scattered thoughts in my brain. They sometimes make it out into art.

HUGS, hope you are well!!

now THAT is a wonderful piece of artwork, my friend. lovelovelove it! and, i can see she's proved herself a capable muse for the sake of this post, but what of the next? or are more lovely collages on the way, in order to provide you with additional fodder? (hey, whatever it takes to justify the purchase of cool stuff, right?)

sigh. had i a decent muse of my own, i'd be able to offer up a clever definition, dear NBFF. alas, my inspiration -- like my skin in this winter weather -- is all dried up. xoxox

Beautiful collage

Muse: Steve Martin once had a good one

I would love to say that my muse is my blog, or that I even had a muse, however...

I can only add that reading well written blogs of all different sorts and cyberfriendships in general function like a muse to me. I've always had a lot of thoughts rattling around in my brain and hanging out in the blogosphere helps release them.
Am I lame?

Goldennib: I thought so too.

Pinky: Well see, you're your own muse! That works. HUGS to you too my friend.

Neva: Whatever it takes indeed. I'd love to say a post is rolling off my fingers but alas, not tonight. Pass the lotion, NBFF.

Pia: That's why I make my up or buy them on eBay :)

Claire: Lame?! Join the club! I agree - it's sort of like strolling through an open air market for creativity. So I wouldn't say lame at all my friend.

The muse can sneak up on you when you least expect it, and often you don't realize she's there.

Muse: The guide voice that calls you beyond the safe shore to the thrilling unknown.

Tom&Icy: She's funny that way, isn't she? She must be popping out of every corner at your house.

Thanks Ann, I am. Love to you too. xox

Mutha: I like that...a lot.

Your muse is very beautiful.
Mine is too, but he's a little harder to explain. He kind of defies explanation.

Cheesemeister, somehow I'm not surprised, but I wish you would try to explain him. In fact, I'd love it.
