Gaze upon the waters...

Gaze upon the waters my beautiful child
For the answers are all there to see
The peace that awaits you quietly there
and knows you are who you should be.

Please forgive me as I am not a poet, but love this picture, wanted to share it and the writing serves only as a caption. This picture was taken on the beach at Montauk where we will be heading in about two weeks. Somehow life's a little freer and easier there (as vacations should be).

Now who wants to help me look for Montauk rocks? Maybe we'll even find some shells.

of course, i may have wanted to expand on that sentiment, but apparently, if you click on the "publish" key instead of the preview key that's what happens. it publishes. and no amount of cursing will make it stop in its publishing tracks in order to allow you to finish the thought. so here's the finished thought:

beautiful. perfectly and completely and breathtakingly beautiful. xoxox

Thank you my dear NBFF.

You two are a pair! rofl!

That "is" a beautiful picture. I can only imagine what he's thinking as he stares at the ocean.

a.
"Wow, big water!"

b.
"Hey, I think I saw a fish!"

c.
"Man, I have to pee!"

*%^#$@ Darn it, I press the publish key!

Your child is adorably precious with the hat!

Pavel - You forgot d) I think I saw a dragon. Apparently this is a good post to get out everyone's ^#%$&**#((#*#** angst!

So glad to perform such a public service.

*&$&%&^**#@ - can't blame that on the publish key, just my ADD addled brain - thank you for your sweet compliment Pavel. We call him Crocodile Dundee in this hat.

You know Pinky, I have visitors from other countries, I just assumed you had slipped into your native tonuge for a moment. Thank you in any language.

I shall type very s-l-o-w-l-y so as to avoid the blogger curse that seems to have befallen all who have commented here to date.

Beautiful picture and...you may not be a poet, but I sure wouldn't know it...great sentiment.

p.s. please do not discuss vacation with Neva...could prove hazardous to my health.

Goodness me that is a beautiful picture!! How old is he there? I love the cowboy hat. :)

JOel - thanks. Not a word. Something tells me you don't take nearly the alotted vacation time.

cj: Thanks - that would be from last summer so 3 1/2. I'm always happy when the hat still fits.

Brian...are you there Brian?

I like the poem, too. Reminds me of Robert Louis Stevenson, A CHILD'S GARDEN OF VERSES, which was a favorite of mine.

G said...

I love A CHILD'S GARDEN OF VERSES! Maybe that's subconsciously where I got it from. I must take that down from the shelf when I get home tonight.

Who says you aren't a poet?

G said...

Weirsdo, I love it even more now because Julian fell right off to sleep as I read from it and Tali kept saying, I don't get it but I'm feeling sleepy.

Doug, I have to lay down on the couch to come up with that answer. It was 3rd grade...

G, that's a beautiful picture and your caption is wonderful.

We'll be in VA Beach this weekend, hopefully collecting rocks and shells too. I just love the ocean.

Toyplayer got a bit confused in the poem about night where it says (as I recall) "All round the house goes the dark, black night / It stares through the window pane." For years we had an imaginary character called the Dark Black Knight.

Me too Sar. Thanks and enjoy your collecting.

Is he a player in the Pansi Files?

Beautiful picture and caption dear G!

Lil' BoheMia would kill for that cowboy hat! She is going through a cowgirl-wannabe phase... it is all about the outfits!

Don't wanna curse... ain't that a miracle now? Ha, ha, ha, haaaa!

Joel, ahem, ahem but as ideas about vacations go I do think one is in order and well, how about SPAIN??? And that idea includes you G! That is, if you do not mind crazy bohemians and hippy food and baked goods, sunshine and swimming and hanging at the beach and yoga and fab treatments by the Loverboy and...

CAN YOU TELL I REALLY WANT Y'ALL TO COME? DIOS MIO! WHAT DOES A BOHEMIAN HAVE TO DO FOR THAT TO HAPPEN? WHAT I ASK? WHAT?

Well, no cursing but I will scream up a storm! And all this from such a beautiful picture and sentiment? For shame BoheMia!

That picture is truly lovely and your sweet Julian is just absolutely huggable!

MizB ~ Oh I have a pink and white cow print cowgirl hat in our playroom for Lil B! That's it! My urgent reason for departing for Spain immeditately - to bring LilB the hat!

Thank you my dear MizB!

Brian: Is there popcorn served at the sagas. I could use some as I can't seem to get around in the blogs today.

Minka: I can see that. Thanks yeah yeah yeah. Now for the meat of my response: Well I am happy to say I have not had to succumb to any casting couches int he blogs. Laughing - okay, I just loved your phrasiology "whome does one have to get under?". Shoot an e-mail into me or the Snark and we'll gladly give you the info.

Oh G...that's beautiful. I have just revisited my Ocean's Song and now, I see this.

I am fanciful by nature, so I shall insist vainly that it's a sign.

Truly lovely.

G said...

Ah GG - being fanciful myself (deep down) I shall agree vainly that it is. Now gaze into the waters, we find such treasure there..

G, sadly he has gone the way of the Star Fairy, Mall Diva's superheroine alterego when she was four.

May he live on in your hearts and in a spare story written down somewhere...
